Well actually PF2 usually has the command "SPLIT" assigned. So there is a command as well. "SPLIT NEW" would be similar to "START" in that it starts another (up to 8, that will increase with z/OS 21., right) split screen session. However, "SPLIT NEW" does not allow another parameter to directly jump to some place in the new session (IIRC). And, I don't want to bother changing numerous KEYLISTS on numerous systems from "SPLIT" to "SPLIT NEW".
