Indeed.  But remember that the objective of the "publick edjamacation racket" 
is to produce docile, compliant and arguably useful subjects rather than 
critically thinking citizens.  Critical thinkers are anathema to omnipotent 
government, whether that government is "The State", "The Church", "The Company" 
or some other body of "elites".
