While we originally purchased the VSP for the mainframe, when our open systems storage guys started having lots of failures on their commodity arrays, we offered to let them add to our VSP and use it. They liked it so well that they’ve been adding more and more storage on the VSP ever since; now the mainframe is only using about 10% of the installed capacity. We’re happy, and the salesman’s happy too. -- Curtis Pew ([email protected]) ITS Systems Core The University of Texas at Austin ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
