Hello,
in a previous message I asked for some help regarding the utility program
PUAUXMON. By the help of some readers of this mailing list here, I get the
program running, but now I'm in a situation where some of the numbers are quite
confusing. That's although the case for program ASCBSLOT (CBT file 66). Here a
sample from today:
MVS command D ASM:
RESPONSE=31S1
IEE200I 08.31.33 DISPLAY ASM 371
TYPE FULL STAT DEV DATASET NAME
PLPA 27% OK 794F SYS1.PAGEP.RZ31S1

From these numbers several questions occur:
1. We are using 3 3390-9 volumes for local page datasets, a model 9 has around
150,000 tracks with is about 8.51 GB.
This comes to something around 25 GB total. Why do PUAUXMON and ASCBSLOT report
only around 14 GB available?
2. If you look into the ASCBSLOT (the PUAUXMON output has similar numbers)
output, it shows completely different numbers for used slots for address spaces
like DB41DBM1 (DB2), ZFS or RASP. Some are much higher or vice versa. Who is
right there? I think both programs PUAUXMON and ASCBSLOT rely on information
from ASCB.
Thanks in advance for an explanation of these differences.
Kind regards.
