I think this is what happens when it is NOT message #1.

I cannot remember if SE LIST lists the #'s as well, but give it a try and see 
if it gives you the #.

Subject: Having trouble delete a broadcast message

When I log on to TSO I'm getting a message from the broadcast dataset.  I try 
to delete it by typing SE 1,DELETE but I get a response that says to enter the 
message text enclosed in apostrophes.  Anyone have any ideas as to what's going 
wrong here?
