WAG, perhaps from the SITE FIX... command, despite the 500 message? Where is 
the source of that SITE command?

Truncated because of some default setting? AFAIK, IEBGENER is known for simply 
cut it off (same as truncate). I wish FTP warns you about possible/pending 
truncating just like ISPF COPY function.

Shame! Fighting against WAD is futile... Ouch... I feel your pain.

Anyways, this is what I sometimes said to my clumsy users when they're coming 
to me crying about sometthing...
