While our SyzSPOOL/z product isn't free, it is quite inexpensive, and does provide the capability of sending the syslog (or any spool related data) via FTP or Email in any of several document formats.
The new version of our SYzMPF/z product (V5) that send the MaxCC and StepCC's automatically at job end (no JCL changes necessary) also allows you to send any part of the job (the JES data or any sysout DD that is part of the task) that ended (or is still running) from JES via email. I just tested it with the running SYSLOG and it sends it on demand as if it was something I intended.
