I'm a$$uming your normal sessions are working with usual screen size of 24x80.
What session manager? They have usually a full set of right logmodes which you
can use asis or which contains a dynamic logmode.
I have for my session manager a logmode which contains this as the last MODEENT
LOGMODE entry:
MODEENT LOGMODE=DYNAMIC, ... etc ...
and in VTAMLST this
??? APPL ACBNAME=???,MODETAB=<above logmode>, ... etc ...
And VTAM has that logmode pre-loaded in VTAMLIB. That is important, AFAIK.
You may need to enter the right set of APPL, do your V NET commands, perhaps
drop/start your session manager and VTAM if needed.
Then of course you still need to setup your QWS thing to pickup the right
logmode or set it up so 3290 can be selected to use Device Type and Model.
You may need to compare your different LPAR own VTAM settings to see how the
definitions are setup - including VTAMLIB too.
You may need to see how your different VTAM networks are setup - I believe you
may need to look at cross domain setup, but it is years ago I worked with that.
About comparing VTAM settings, remember what John McKown said: 'On the other
LPARs, you're likely picking up the 43x80 MODETAB entry for some reason'.
You will be really busy comparing/setting this up...
