The poster did not show what was getting an S806  - so I am not sure if this
was a TSO Session or Batch job.

In the PDF he quotes on page 103 - there is a startup CLIST that can be used
to allocate the necessary PDS datasets for PDS86 to run.

Perhaps if there is more detail, we can provide a better answer.

If the poster is not familiar with running a process like PDS86 in batch or
TSO, then it would be helpful to know that and better answers can be given

Isn't there an invocation Exec in the PDS file? It will take the logged
Allocations and front the PDS modules and panels appropriately. Try running
the  batch version and see if it modulates....
