Hello Alan,

If you go to Java Configurations (search on Start menu for "Configure
Java") > Java tab > there should be a "View" button or something (mine is
portuguese-translated), you will see which Java Runtime are available for
either system-wide or user-wide applications. Mine has Java 1.7 and Java
1.6 both enabled. That might be a reason (as good as any other, I suppose).
HMC 2.12.1 works here, but I dont kow why :)
