CA MICS does not address corporate/organizational accounting and financial reporting, though.
The word "accounting" is important to clarify. My assumption is that the question relates to corporate accounting and financial reporting -- the stuff a company would report to its shareholders, among other things -- and not strictly or even primarily to IT-related accounting. That's a reasonable default assumption when confronted with the word "accounting." My assumption means sales, revenue, profit, expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashflows, asset valuations, taxes, etc. within particular departments and across the entire organization. If I'm mistaken, if the latter, there are also several solutions on z/OS and/or z/VSE that cover IT-related accounting. IBM Tivoli Decision Support for z/OS (and Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager) would be another example in the latter category. I hope the original poster will clarify. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy Sipples IT Architect Executive, Industry Solutions, IBM z Systems, AP/GCG/MEA E-Mail: [email protected] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
