And how long before we have "sponsored" authors - if you can't bring some 
bucks, you aren't welcome (F1 drivers come to mind).
Then what - product placement in the body of the text ?.

If the redbooks lose their balanced technical reputation, it's all down-hill. 
That'll cost IBM much more than they might make out of it.
