What I do is to put the $TJOBCLASS(*),QAFF=-* at the bottom of JES2PARM. Later
when the system is ready to start batch the correct QAFF's will be set.

Subject: QAFF on JOBCLASS statement

I came across something that I find strange.

Using JES2, It is impossible to use the QAFF keyword on the JOBCLASS statement
in the JES2 initialization deck. It is not in the fine manual and when I tried
to specify it, I received the message that the initialization statement is in
error.

What this means is, that if a cold start is ever needed , all JOBCLASSes will
revert to the default of QAFF(ANY) which is not what we want.

I know that I can fix this using several automation techniques.

Any ideas why QAFF is missing from the initialization parameters?

Thanks,
Mike
