While z/OS platform software packages from IBM are not signed, both the Internet and DVD options do use SHA-1 to check data integrity because, as I think most here know, neither TCP/IP transport nor DVD provide inherent data integrity checking. The probability of undetected data corruption across this checking, while nonzero, is quite low.
