Shows Level 17 for your z196 (the webpage has a good chart) The CF level is related to the machine not necessarily the operating system. >From what I have read you can only run CFCC 17 on a z196. If you were running a ec12 you could run CFCC 18 or 19. You could open a case with IBM or contact your IBM Rep for help on this issue. You probably need to see if z/OS V2.1 can run on the z196 and if so, what hardware/software related fixes need to be included to do that. They can confirm what you need for your hardware/software configuration. Once you have a specific level of CF then you could see what PTFs are needed to support that level with FIXCAT. Therefore if you are at CFCC Level 17 - run an SMP/E FIXCAT for that against your SMP/E CSI can see what fixes you need to support z/OS V2.1.
