I will try to answer some questions. 1) No, you should specify them when you need their function. 2) I have a different approach: if a structure should be allowed to occupy its SIZE at any moment, you better have the memory available then. Specifying INITSIZES and gambling that not all structures ask for their SIZE at the same moment, could allow you to define less memory to the CF LPAR then the sum of all SIZEs, but I consider this dangerous gambling with only few benefits. 5) Setting up a Sysplex is THE source of information.
