But RACF doesn't make any decisions or grant any access. It merely answers questions: Is RACF Active? Does the profile exist? Does the user have the requested access to the profile? Etc. It is the calling function, in this case the one responsible for defining aliases or the one responsible for granting access to a dataset, that determines if the action will be allowed.
