I don’t know the details of how things are mapped in HSA. What I know is, that in HCD I define 3270-X devices on OSC control units on OSC CHPIDs. Then in the HMC I have to define sessions for that OSC CHPID, and each session maps a TN3270 LU to a unique device number/LPAR pair. So physically the port is shared by the LPARs, but the logical devices, even when they have the same device number, are unique. -- Pew, Curtis G [email protected] ITS Systems/Core/Administrative Services ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
