I don’t know the details of how things are mapped in HSA. What I know is, that 
in HCD I define 3270-X devices on OSC control units on OSC CHPIDs. Then in the 
HMC I have to define sessions for that OSC CHPID, and each session maps a 
TN3270 LU to a unique device number/LPAR pair. So physically the port is shared 
by the LPARs, but the logical devices, even when they have the same device 
number, are unique.
