Good Day To All,

I have great news. I found the missing dsn and the volser from the
HSM.JOURNAL.BACKUP.V0009984 file. Thanks to all who helped with their
suggestions and support.

 Willie has already posted
that there is no backup.  The data set along with the
catalog entry has been deleted - as long as the ML2 tape has
not been recycled, it can be retrieved from there.  There
is a documented procedure for doing this in the HSM
 administration manual.

 Just because you
delete a data set if it has backups they might still be
there. Try allocating the old DSN as empty and restore from
a backup. I have done that before.
