Knowing the amount probably won't help you resolve a concern, given the 64K hard limit on the size of the TIOT. And my memory of the code is that once space is exhausted the code does not continue processing, so the amount of additional space required is unknown and restructuring the code to process DDs that can not be satisfied in the TIOT would be difficult and likely to cause more code defects than the value of the information is worth.
