Acela is 35 -38 minutes, Northeast Regional is 40 - 52 minutes Boston South
Station - Providence. Acela is the extra fare high speed service. Use the
Silver Line airport bus on the MBTA to South Station taking another 23
minutes or less depending on the terminal. I would allow 10 - 15 minutes
for the transfer at South Station. All of the Amtrak trains are reserved
but I have purchased a ticket 15 minutes before train time. Note that none
of the service is regular interval so you have to know the train times.
There may be airport buses or Super Shuttle type service from Logan to
Providence. The MBTA trains also from South Station run about every two
hours from 11:05 AM to
11:10 PM (23:10) on Sundays and take 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
There is Monday thru Friday service MBTA train service to the T F Greene
Airport, the one for Providence. Will a car be needed while at Share in
Providence?
