What kind of system symbols are you asking about? The ones you code in IEASYMxx or the ones that come with the System, like SYSPLEX, SYSCLONE, date things?
I have not seen much documentation on monitoring any of the system symbols And do not forget if you have scheduling software, like CA Workload Automation ESP, BMC Control-?, they may have their own ways of generating their own symbols. And then there is JCL Symbols (EXPORT and SET function in JCL). Is there a problem you are trying to solve? For instance, Identify any symbols defined in IEASYMxx that are no longer used? There is also symbols in Dataset names set by DEF ... SYMBOLICRELATE.
