I see:
    To allow you to update a data set on DASD (EDIT's SAVE, PDF option
    3 COPY/MOVE/DELETE/RENAME, TBSAVE, and so on), ISPF issues this
    macro to protect the entire partitioned data set:

     RESERVE SPFEDIT,dsname,E,44,SYSTEMS

I believe this is momentary; too ephemeral to observe.
