Paranoia is driving this more than anything. Managers are being asked to sign-off on changes and that is driving the desire to know exactly what was changed. We provide screen shots of our changes or ACS code compares, but this doesn't prove something else wasn't changed in their minds. They want to see what is different between the current ACDS and the SCDS that is about the activated.

I can dynamically change lots of things in ISMF and unless I document it outside of the product, it will remain hidden. Was there an event where an old version of the SCDS was activated? Were ACS code regressed or not tested prior to implementing? Were volumes moved out of or into the wrong SMS Storage Group? What is the incentive to do this? Change ACS Constructs Translate Validate Activate Is there something in this process they need more robust or bullet-proof?
