In my shop I'm trying to eliminate SORTWK at all. Memory is faster.
BTW: Read backward effectiveness depends on the tape hardware. We're not
talking about reels, but about current T10000D or TS11x0. Those drives
are extremely fast when going forward, but not backward. It's like F1
bolid on crowded parking lot.
