If you need coexistence, you are out of luck. You will have to create copies of the files with new names. If you do not need coexistence, just unmount/remount the files.
IDCAMS allows DEFINE RECATALOG to be specified for files w/HLQ of SYS1 or PAGE (IIRC). OMVS is not allowed. DEFINE RECATALOG allows the same physical dataset to be in 2 separate catalogs concurrently. Check the fine manual, the may have been an update I missed. In the past I have included the volser in the file name as a means of making it unique. E.g.
