The "abend dump" (SYSABEND, SYSUDUMP, SYSMDUMP depending on JCL) that is the subject of the DUMP=YES/DUMP=NO option of SETRP is initiated by RTM prior to retry, after the recovery routine returns. Recovery routines that want an SVC Dump must initiate that themselves.
