I would say that that is wholly unacceptable unless you own the prefix 
IDE. If IBM creates a token that happens to collide then we may expect and 
require you to change. Is that likely? No. Is it conceivable? Yes. Some 
prefixes within the IBM range that had been appropriated by ISV's were 
grandfathered for use by the "offender". That was quite a long time ago 
now. I don't see that happening again since the process for an ISV to 
obtain a prefix has also existed for a long time now.

A protocol is only as good as those who follow it. The naming protocol has 
served the platform well for 50-ish years. You should make an effort not 
to break it.
