Trying to reconstruct some history. TRSMAIN is now delivered as an alias for AMATERSE. Before AMATERSE was included in the z/OS base, TRSMAIN was a separate deliverable available via download. The only separate TRSMAIN I can find here goes back to late 1998, but it might have been last downloaded well before the advent of AMATERSE.
According to a hit on Google, AMATERSE was introduced in z/OS 1.9. That would push the 'old z/OS' hypothesis well beyond likelihood. . .
