Unless I'm not seeing it, I'd say that that book has no information 
specific to this service with respect to the input reg 13. This seems in 
keeping with other services documented in that book.
I believe it is always expected for a callable service that R13 points to 
a save area (and that no other register needs to be set other than reg 1 
by the compiler or CALL macro and the entry and return registers by the 
linkage instruction).

Of course it is always important to understand the needed size of the save 
area.  For non-exception cases, the AMODE would dictate that.
