Here are a few links to look at. The famous bottom line is you have to be on the right level of z/OS and the right level of hardware for this to work. On the hardware side it requires a z13 or higher and the DASD device would also need to support it to get a full picture. On the z/OS side I think it takes z/OS 2.2 or higher.
