Vignesh, I think you have bigger problems than this if your scheduled backups don't run for a week and no one notices.
You can set up DFSMShsm does not delete datasets that do not have a backup. So one may be led to believe the dataset is being backed up when it is not, and then after a year, it's totally gone...
