No obstacle, and yes they do work. The java utility does encryption, which is a new requirement. Looks like I still have to get FTPs or HTTP_PROXY working. FTPs is a problem here as IBM requires a range of ports for passive TLS transfers. Something my security folks are balking at. IBM used to use just one port, which they were ok with. I kinda had set this all aside for a bit until this alert came out, as I was still using anonymous FTP to testcase.boulder.ibm.com on standard FTP port. Sounds like tomorrow that ends.
