It is just z/OS, nothing magic.
Relatively simplified, small pre-defined installation on 3 volumes.
In the old days it was delivered on tape, with stand-alone restore
program, nowadays the restore program is IPL-ed from DVD and volume dump
is restored from that DVD. It's DFSMSdss restore.
AFAIK it is some trick since IBM does not allow customers to create such
DVDs (only tapes). However FDR do support it.
