Your setting is the highest from the responses that I have received. I am 
probably split the difference and set it to 2000.

Late to the party -
I haven't looked at, or thought about it for some time, but I've considered
creating a NetView specific LMOD thrown into NetView's STEPLIB to not
impose a NetView requirement on the rest of the environment.
2816 was set some years ago when moving to NetView 6.x.
