Granted, no benefit in a one-off which this probably is.  I cited a technique 
from
a macro I used repeatedly, to allocate INTRDR with attributes of the file being
edited.

Some of this arose when I unwittingly did SDSF; SJ; tweaked the JCL slightly;
SUBMIT.  Infuriatingly, it quietly truncated my SYSINs.  Ouch!  It ought to
issue a warning and a choice:
o Truncate
o Submit with attributes from EDIT
o Cancel.

I don't care that:
o It's documented that way.
o It's been that way for decades.

Quiet truncation is never acceptable.
