Note: THERE ARE NO TERMINATORS in FICON.
You can have loopback - a simple LC duplex connector with input
connected to output. It can be used by CE for diagnistics, but it is
completely useless in production and it's unrelated to any CTC topology.
Valid FICON topologies for single CEC are:
1. FICON cable from CHPID A to CHPID B. Both CHPID are defined as FC
(*unlike* in ESCON: CNC-CTC).
2. FICON cable from CHPID A to FICON switch.
So in any case you have to use two ports (2xCEC or CEC+switch), however
the second scenario allows you to use the channel for other purposes as
well, i.e. for tape attachment.
