I've read through this thread and I didn't see what the purpose of this exercise is. If I understand correctly, you want to back up all of these volumes, transfer the backups to another site and restore them, so I have a few questions. Will you quiesce all activity to all of the volumes while you take the backups so that the data will be consistent? What will the data be used for at the new site?
