360 assembler? Why? The XF assembler is so much nicer, unless you're doing, 
e.g., an OS/360 SysGen.

They're just not growing mindshare.

Python is still growing mindshare, and it's more generally useful than
Ruby, which since 2006 has been focused on web services.

Legacy systems programmers learning Python in IBM *nix environments (IBM
i Pase & z/OS USS) is, in the immortal words of Joe Biden, a BFD :)
