Any drive at an address that is included in the IOCP can be used. Since you are loading from the HMC, all you need do is to put its address in as the load address. Once running, DDR can use any available address. It is not restricted to the symbolic addresses defined by CMS.

I am about to start up a new z800 with a new storage array.  I know that I will have to do a standalone IPL from tape after installing IOCP. How do I get another tape drive attached and do I need to have it attached as 181 or can I just use the CUU from the IOCP?
