I would like to be use FCOPY to store MVS sysout files, some of which will
have the same names. The compression capability and ability to have
duplicate file names in an FCOPY PACKLIB make it a perfect solution.
My only reservation is that it isn't part of the official product and
therefore is not supported. I've used it for 20 years or so both as an IBM
employee and in my later life and have never had a problem of any kind with
it. If anyone knows of a supported solution, I'd like to hear about it.
It certainly would be nice for IBM to step up to the plate and add it to
CMS. <hint hint>
