Apparently the universe decided to punish me too. The sump pump in my basement shorted out.I don't think I actually lost much besides some floppy disks from the 1990s (and the box for my Apple Monitor II may not be salvageable), but I spent several hours cleaning wet cardboard out of my storage room and buying and installing a new sump pump. What joy!
