I have been sitting here reading to understand.
Couple of things
First and foremost, Thank you all for getting into this problem. While
I am comfortable around z/VM, I am no where near the level of expertise
of most of you.
Ok, I would love to know what the problem is before I IPL the system.
IPL 190 CLEAR or IPL 190 NOCLEAR same results. HCPCLS174E
1 meg system
NO error messages on the console.
I have DDR tapes from when the system worked. My documented changes
are
to the Directory and to SYSTEM CONFIG (CF1), I have those backed up.
Yes something happened last week, the page dataset on 430RES looks ok
but
does have some eyecatchers.
Called IBM and we did work on it, and like Alan indicate we are on 4.3.
Jim was nice enough to help get the trace info to them.
Good reason to go to z/VM 5.2. I have mentioned this many times before
and now it is here biting us.
