Who said a "thumb" drive? I meant the "full sized" drives. Yeah, they
would be a hassle, but the USB cable can be long enough that the drive
and its power supply would be outside the z9's frame. 80 Gb USB hard
drives are CHEAP. At least compared to the equivalent amount of space on
a 3390 emulate volume.
