Hmm ... let me just give that a try (he said embarrassed for not knowing
much about our z/OS products).

And I've found it works!

Thanks Dennis!

Steve,

I'm not aware of a native z/OS facility allowing you to submit CP
commands.
However, CA does sell a product called "CA-Sysview Realtime Performance
Management - MVS" which can be launched from TSO (or via a VTAM session)
and which provides a "VM" command which will submit CP commands to an
underlying VM system (i.e. "VM IND LOAD").

Does anyone know if there is something built-in to z/OS to permit issue
of
CP commands when it's running as a guest under z/VM? I know VSE has the
"*
CP" command to facilitate this. Is there something similar in z/OS ...
or
does this require mods?

If the answer is mods, does anyone happen to have some they'd be willing
to
share?

Thanks,
JR
