Thanks Kris, Kurt, and others.
I was able to identify the problem as a PRG001 but thanks to SFPURGER (damned automation -:( ) the dump was purged from OPERATNS rdr .. I fixed that problem but I'll have to wait (hopefully forever) to get another dump.

AFAIK, when dump space would be full, CP would not restart itself after an
abend.
But, there is also OPERSYMP that logs problems. With next commands, you
can list symptom summaries.
- VMLINK OPERSYMP 191
- VMLINK MAINT 193
- VIEWSYM (or is it VIEWSYMP?)
