I think I should have said something more: - you use "CP SEND CP userid xxxxx" to change pure virtual things (like a virtual CTC) in a virual machine. (And the "xxxxx" in the command string is then most of the time a CP CLASS G command) - to handle real devices, you can use CP's CLASS B DETACH & ATTACH command

You use the CP SEND CP TCPIP to execute something in the TCPIP machine. To attach the CTC to another guest, no need to do it in the TCPIP user.
