Hi all. We just installed a second OSA card on a z/800 running z/VM 5.2. I would now like to set up my VSWITCH to use two ports, one on each card, for fail over support. I have asked the network folks to give me access to a second switch but they only have one switch for my subnet. Can I use a switch that is VLAN enabled and connect to a port on it that is on the same subnet as my VSWITCH to achieve my fail over environment or is it more complicated than that?
