There is no special placement requirement for device statements (DEDICATE,
CONSOLE, SPOOL, SPECIAL, LINK, DASDOPT, MDISK and MINIOPT) other than that
they have to be placed after all general statements. DASDOPT and MINIOPT
have to follow related statements and DEDICATE's *should* be first among
device statements to get the correct subchannel number assigned. Other than
that, only MDISK and MINIOPT cannot be specified in PROFILEs. That's maybe
why your LINK got moved up. I never mix LINKs and MDISKs (purely because
MDISKs are something that you are defining "here", while LINKs use something
that is already defined somewhere else), but I can't think of a reason why
not...
