He said both z/Linux and ISHELL. I can't parse that, but maybe I'm just
foolish. I've seen a number of posts on IBM-MAIN and MVS-OE where
somebody would talk about "z/Linux under z/OS", which is meaningless as
z/Linux does not run under z/OS. Turns out they were meaning z/OS UNIX.
Which is not z/Linux. So, I remain confused as to what the OP meant by
"z/Linux ISHELL Scripting" as shown in the Subject. To the best of my
knowledge ISHELL does not exist in z/Linux. The only ISHELL that I am
aware of is an TSO/ISPF application on z/OS which allows access to z/OS
UNIX files and the ability to run z/OS UNIX programs (including shell
scripts).
In any case, I'm dropping out as this forum has nothing to do with UNIX
shell scripting, be it in z/OS UNIX or z/Linux.

Actually, the original post did say z/Linux.
